The purpose of this test is to validate that the any new versions of the Triaster server are working as intended.

The maps will be published without error. To check this, click on the show publication logs tickbox and then click the details button. Any warnings will be displayed on this page. The HTML should also be checked, the best way to check this is to run the contents report. Which is the next test. |
Run contents report |
Click on the reports tab. Click on the contents report, which is generally the first report in the list. |
A list of published maps should appear and be clickable. Click on any of the links to load the HTML. |
Publish a new map using SVG Triaster |
Copy one of the sample maps in the sandpit mapstore and rename it (/Triaster/Triasterserver2011/mapstore). Then go to the process library's Administration tab and click on Edit Configuration on the left side of the page. Click on publication settings and then global settings. Switch the publication format to SVG - Triaster. Publish the sandpit site. Make sure to switch back to SVG Triaster after this test is complete. Switch back once the test is complete. |
The map should be published and viewable using the contents report. |
Open a map on the homepage |
Click on the home tab and click through the menu to open a map. |

Add a user |
Click on the Administration tab and click edit users on the left hand side of the page under users. Click the Add New button and enter in details. Tick all the boxes and set approval all files and review all files. Click save. |

Approvals test 1 - approve a map set to new |
Place all remaining maps in the sandpit maps folder for the Triaster sample library. The usual path for this is C:\Triaster\Triasterserver2011\mapstore\triaster sample library\sandpit maps. Navigate back to the Administration page of the triaster sample Library sandpit site and click the publish button. |
Navigate to the prelive site. Use the Library Explorer on the Administration page to do so. Click on the approvals tab and tick the box that says "show maps for all approvers". Select Approved map 1 and click confirm to approve it. Navigate to the live site of the triaster sample Library using the Library Explorer on the Administration tab and click on the reports tab. Wait for the publish to finish. Run the contents report and confirm that approved map 1 is in the list. Click on approved map 1 to confirm it loads. |
Approvals test 2 - set a map to not be ready for approval |
The map will have been published in the previous test. |
Check the C:\Triaster\Triasterserver2011\mapstore\triaster sample library\prelive maps folder to make sure "Not ready for approval.vsdx" is not in there. |
Approvals test 3 - approve a map set to modified |
Navigate to the prelive site. Click the approvals tab. Click on show maps for all approvers and send the approved map 2 through to approval by ticking the box, Clicking next and clicking confirm. |
Navigate to the live site using the Library Explorer on the Administration page. Wait for the publishes to finish. Click on the reports tab and run the contents report. Approved map 2 should be in the contents report. Click on approved map 2 and confirm that the map loads. |
Approvals test 4 - send a map back for rework |
Navigate back to the prelive site using the Library Explorer on the Administration page. Click on the approvals tab. Click on show all maps for approvers. Select "Not ready for Approval" and click rework. Type in the comment box "rework". Click confirm. |
